We do not exist just to exist we have a purpose and a specific reason why we do what we do and why we believe what we believe. At CrossFit 116 every workout begins with a general and specific warm up, followed by either some time to work on a strength or skill, then the WOD or “Workout of the Day”, then a cool down and stretching. This format usually stays the same but everything in the format changes every single day.
At CrossFit 116 our mission is to build a community of people of all ages and all walks of life from old to young, from elite athlete to the casual athlete. CrossFit is about not specializing in anything and we do not specialize in any type of person. We believe in the philosophy of CrossFit and believe that everyone no matter what age or what ability can do the same workout together with scaling. From the elite fighter to the soccer mom we wish to build a community where true health and fitness is the priority. There is no judging, there are no ego’s, there are no excuses only work.
“Invicta” or undefeated. We believe in helping people become victorious in life. To do that we hope to provide a place of many victories and accomplishments. We see people achieving levels of fitness they never thought possible. We see parents with energy to play with their children again. We at CrossFit 116 are dedicated to providing people with the coaching, training, and mentoring necessary to be “Undefeated” in life not only CrossFit. We envision the things that happen within our walls as a launching pad for everyone involved to improve their standard of living period. Meet the Coaches
Coach Codi is highly focused and full of energy. After playing Baseball at Manhattan Christian college in Manhattan Kansas, Codi decided to dedicate his career to physical health. He earned his CrossFit Certification in Tomball, Texas and then opened up CrossFit116.
Coach Manda is someone who is extremely relatable and caring. She is a totally different person spiritually and physically then the person she was 3 years ago. With CrossFit and Advocare she has literally been a transformer losing around 70 lbs and awakening the athlete and coach inside of her she never knew existed.
What is CrossFit?
The CrossFit prescription is “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement.” Functional movements are universal motor recruitment patterns; they are performed in a wave of contraction from core to extremity; and they are compound movements—i.e., they are multi-joint. They are natural, effective, and efficient locomotors of body and external objects. But no aspect of functional movements is more important than their capacity to move large loads over long distances, and to do so quickly. Collectively, these three attributes (load, distance, and speed) uniquely qualify
